Meet The Team
Thomas Merritt - Team Driver/Driver Coach
Thomas is a focused and ambitious racing driver whose passion for motorsport started early. He began his competitive career in karting at Buckmore Park in 2019, where he achieved multiple race wins and earned Driver of the Day awards during his rookie season. He progressed to Bayford Meadows, winning the 2022 BMJC Championship with podium finishes in every round and setting lap records. Moving to the national stage, Thomas secured Vice Championships in both the Winter and Southern Championships across Cadet and Junior categories, and achieved consistent podiums and overall wins. In 2023, he transitioned into car racing, joining Race Car Consultants for the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship, where he delivered strong performances, multiple race wins, podiums, pole positions, and fastest laps, ultimately finishing Vice Champion in 2025.
Alongside his on-track success, Thomas continually develops his race craft through high-level simulator training and Esports competition, holding an A-Class iRacing license with a 6k iRating. He works as a driver coach and advisor at Phoenix Sim Racing, supporting other drivers while maintaining his own readiness. Thomas also completed a successful Mercedes-AMG GT4 test in Italy, showcasing his pace, adaptability, and technical feedback in a professional GT environment. His professionalism and potential led to his selection for the FF Corse GT Driver Academy and roles as an Instructor and Brand Ambassador for Sim Motorsport. He balances real-world competition with simulator training and coaching, taking a well-rounded approach to driver development.
Benjy Douglas - Team Driver
I was inspired to pursue racing after watching the Gran Turismo movie, where I was captivated by the story of a sim driver successfully transitioning to real-life motorsport. Intrigued by the idea, I began exploring sim racing myself and quickly developed a passion for learning how to drive a car at its limit. This interest naturally evolved into a desire to race in real life, where I could apply the skills I had honed through simulation. Today, I am proud to have secured a junior drive with a BTCC team, Speedworks Motorsport, marking a significant milestone in my racing career.
Jonathan Ogden - Team Driver
Hi, my name is Jonathan Ogden, 25, and I am a Racing Driver from the UK with Ankylosing Spondylitis Arthritis and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. Many have described these as a setback, however, I believe this adds to my strengths, allows me to rise to the challenge and drives me to achieve. This is also displayed in the award winning documentary Non-Stop by Jack Kinsella, showing my journey, accomplishments, talent & determination.
I have competed in multiple series all over the world, sim-racing & racing, through the years; achieving podiums, championship wins, fastest laps and pole positions. This is just the beginning of my journey into the top levels of professional motorsport. My dream is to become a GT driver, racing against some of the best in the world and prove to people the impossible is possible.

Jack Middleton - Team Driver
My name is Jack Middleton, and I am an amateur sim racer pursuing a career in the world of competitive racing. I first dipped my toes into sim racing in 2024, initially just for fun with friends on an old steering wheel. However, I became more serious about the sport in 2026 after watching iRacing content on YouTube, which inspired me to dive deeper into the world of sim racing. I am excited to begin this journey with Phoenix Sim Racing, a team I am eager to grow with as I continue to develop my skills.
In addition to sim racing, I have several years of karting experience, including notable achievements such as being the former lap record holder at Daytona Tamworth, finishing P3 and P4 in the Daytona Superchamps, and becoming Vice Winter Series Champion at Fulbeck. I’ve also secured a top-10 finish at PFI, and I am now looking forward to transitioning into car racing in the coming years. Sim racing has always been a passion of mine, and I am excited to see where this path takes me.
Olivia Krzyzanowska - Team Driver
At the age of 6, Olivia asked Santa for a red and orange go kart with her name on it.. this was the start of her motorsport obsession.
At 11, Olivia moved into short oval racing starting with a shot in a Ninja kart followed later on by two years racing in the Junior Productions formula.
2024 saw Olivia move into an adult formula and she debuted in the 2 Litre Hotrods at Lochgelly Raceway in October.
Olivia is currently the youngest, female 2 Litre driver in the Uk and she cannot wait to see what next year brings.
When Olivia is not racing on track, she is an avid sim racer and spends hours practicing her racing online.
